Nestled within the grounds of the local primary school in Southmoor and Kingston Bagpuize, sits Little Angels nursery. They opened their doors in 2024, and provide full day care for children aged 6 months to 4 years.
At the back of the nursery is an outside which was a perfect setting for an outdoor play area, the brief was to make sure it was suitable for all ages at the nursery, and also sparks their imagination.
The nursery wanted to make sure that all the play equipment could be used all year round, so the sandpit is also used as a cosy reading nook, filled with blankets, cushions and lots of books.
We designed a mini fort to spark children’s imagination (it’s also a great place for everyone to play hide and seek), and for the older children, we included a double rockwall.
To finish off the play area, the nursery wanted a mud kitchen for those messy days, when the children can 'don their aprons' and cook to their hearts content.
