The play area at the Memorial Hall & Recreation Ground in the beautiful village of Newton Tony had served the community well for years. However, time had taken its toll; the equipment was looking tired, worn down, and was in desperate need of a complete overhaul.
Newton Tony Parish Council reached out to us with a clear mission: safely remove the existing structures and replace them with a modern, multi-functional play area complete with double swing bays, climbing towers, safety surfacing, and secure fencing.
Before our design team picked up a pencil, we sat down with local councillors and conducted thorough site visits. At Home Front Outdoor Play, understanding a community's needs and objectives is always our first priority.
During these consultations, one core objective stood out: the new play area had to be inclusive. The council wanted a space where children of all ages and physical abilities could seamlessly play alongside one another. With this brief in hand, our designers got to work creating a bespoke outdoor environment.
This project involved removing their existing metal play area, groundwork and landscaping, and installing a new play area.
