Gloagburn Farm Shop

Set in the heart of the Scottish countryside, Gloagburn Farm Shop wanted to create something truly special for visiting families — a large-scale, imaginative play structure that would reflect the charm and character of the farm. The result: Gloagburn Castle, a timber fortress designed to spark outdoor adventure and delight children of all ages.

The Process

This was a  collaborative project from the outset. Working closely with the Gloagburn team,  we explored multiple design directions to ensure every detail fit the vision. This involved different versions of CADs and renders, until we reached the perfect combination.

Key Features

• Castle-themed architecture with towers, battlements, and interlinking walkways
• Large spiral tube slide for maximum excitement
• Open-ended play areas encouraging exploration and imagination
• Custom “Gloagburn Castle” sign
• Inclusive nest swing for children of all abilities

Impact

Since its launch, Gloagburn Castle has become a central feature of the farmshop experience, offering hours of energetic fun and a stunning visual presence. The structure has enhanced Gloagburn’s family-friendly appeal. We also collaborated with Crawfords Farm to help raise awareness of Gloagburn Farm Shop's brand new play area!
