For 30 years, Home Front Outdoor Play has been creating outdoor play equipment designed to bring adventure, imagination, and lasting memories into family gardens and commercial spaces.
Over the decades, our climbing frames have evolved alongside the families who use them. Designs have grown bigger and more adventurous, but the goal has always stayed the same: getting children outside and inspiring active, imaginative play.
To celebrate our 30th anniversary, we’re looking back at some of our original climbing frame ranges and how they’ve evolved into the collections you know (and love!) today.
The Dream range was one of the early favourites. A classic climbing frame built around imaginative outdoor play and endless adventures in the garden, particularly for the younger adventurers.
Today, that same spirit lives on in the Canyon Adventurer range. With upgraded features, the Canyon represents how far our designs have come while still staying true to the original.

As the range evolved, we introduced the Canyon Adventurer Twin.
Rather than creating a completely separate collection, we decided to keep things simple; it is essentially the Canyon (formerly Dream) with two towers instead of one. This name reflects exactly that: an expanded twin-tower version of a much-loved favourite.

As our collections evolved, we wanted our climbing frame names to better reflect what we’ve always been about — inspiring outdoor adventure, imagination, and active play. That’s how Jungle Adventurer was born: a name that felt bigger, bolder, and more in tune with the imaginative adventures the climbing frame was designed for.
It quickly became a fan favourite and remains one of our most popular collections today… we’ll happily give ourselves a high five for that one.

When it came to evolving Hi 5 Fantasy, we decided there was no need to reinvent the wheel. When Dream became the Canyon Adventurer, and Fantasy evolved into the Canyon Twin, it only felt natural for Hi 5 Fantasy to become the Jungle Adventurer Twin.
We kept the same winning formula: everything families loved about Jungle Adventurer, expanded with a second tower and even more space for adventure. The result was Jungle Twin: double the towers, twice the fun, and even more opportunities for climbing, sliding, and imaginative outdoor play.

The Sky range was all about height, adventure, and encouraging children to climb higher than ever before, fitting for a collection that included some of our tallest tower designs.
As our collections evolved, we wanted the name to continue reflecting that sense of scale and adventure. That’s how the was born: a climbing frame that still captured the feeling of reaching new heights, while embracing the outdoor adventure spirit behind our collections.

The Imagination range was always designed to encourage big adventures, creative play, and limitless imagination.
As the collection evolved into some of the largest climbing frames we’ve ever created, we needed a name that felt just as ambitious. After all, what’s bigger than space? Our Cosmic Adventurer climbing frames can come pretty close.
A range built around huge adventures, expansive layouts, and the idea that imagination really has no limits.

While our climbing frames have evolved over the last three decades, the heart behind them has never changed.
From our earliest designs to today’s collections, every climbing frame has been created to inspire outdoor adventure, active play, and unforgettable childhood memories.
Along the way, our ranges have continued to grow beyond our original core collections. From the introduction of Ridgeway and our bespoke safari-style, to expanding accessory options, imagination play features, and so much more. Every new addition has been built with the same goal in mind: creating outdoor spaces where childhood adventures can thrive.
Thank you to every family who has been part of our journey over the last 30 years. Here’s to many more adventures ahead.
