Playground Musical Instruments
Creativity & fun. Here is a range of playground musical instruments which are perfect for schools or any public play area.
These musical instruments are designed for the rigours of the outside so they are tough and durable. And they will allow children to spontaneously make music, interact socially with others and develop their creativity and musical ear. You can also use them as part of organised study and lessons.

A marimba consists of a set of metal tubes, which resonate with a soft sound, rich in harmonic tones. The playing technique is very simple and intuitive. Just strike the middle parts of the tubes in any rhythm with the mallets. Both children and adults find playing this instrument highly enjoyable, regardless of their musical abilities.

A handpan is an instrument with a characteristic, metallic but at the same time soft sound. When striking the specially profiled, metallic soundbox with the finger, you can create a beautiful, melodic tune even with a simple rhythm. This instrument is ideally suited for spontaneous music making in the playground or in the park.

Tubular bells consist of metal tuned tubes of different lengths. The longer the tube the tube the lower the sound it produces. To enjoy the mesmerising tone of the tubular bells, you must strike them in the middle with mallets to produce a sound. Even the simplest, intuitively struck rhythm will produce an interesting tune. “Monk” bells are an outdoor instrument which reflects the architecture of the Far East. The instrument consists of vertically arranged bells whose rich tones sound ideally in open space. To play the bells, strike each bell separately from the top to the bottom. You will obtain a mesmerising glissando.
