If you are comparing play equipment from different suppliers here are a few questions you may consider....... |
|
| |
How
strong and sturdy is the construction? |
We
use 4"x 4" timbers for the structure and super-strong
4"x 6" for the swing beams, so the systems do
not wobble and sway if several children are playing. And ask about age limits - you'll find most other systems have maximum ages limits of 12 or even 10 years. We don't. Our systems will support as many children who want to play; and adults too. And we don't rely on ground anchors either - sets that do are too light weight and flimsy not to topple when children are playing. |
|
| |
How
is the set fitted together? |
Metal
brackets and bolt-through connections can work loose with
use. We use wood-on-wood construction, solidly anchored
with 3" and 5" coach screws - around 100 of them
on our smallest set. Our timber is properly machined and
finished too; no round logs bolted together.

|
| |
Is
the hardware properly countersunk? |
Ours
is, and is all stainless steel . Unlike many we
do not use nails or staples in the construction - these can come loose and cause injury. |
|
| |
What
if the ground is not level? |
Most
gardens are not ! Most of our competitors' systems sit flat
on the ground so follow whatever slope there is on the lawn.
We have a unique levelling design as standard which allows
us to build the jungle gym level and true whatever the slope
or bumps. |
|
| |
What
about splinters? |
The
more rounding on the timbers, the less chance of splinters
from the edges. Many cheaper systems economise here - our timber has beautiful smooth planed surfaces and properly rounded edges. |
|
| |
How
long is the guarantee? |
We
offer a LIFETIME Guaranteee to the original purchaser on
our timber. See catalogue for details. |
|
| |
Will
the set need maintenance? |
Our
sets need no maintenance - just an optional annual treatment
of water sealer or stain to keep the warm colour of the wood. |
|
| |
Are
the swings on ropes or chains? |
Ropes
can fray and snap with use - we use chains because they
are safer and more durable. We have plastic sheathing on
the chains (no trapped fingers) and top-quality swing hangings
too. |
|
| |
What
is the company's history? |
We
have been selling Jungle Gyms in the UK since
1996 and now there are hundreds of systems in private
homes up and down the country, as well as in pubs, hotels,
schools etc. |
|
| |
What
is included in the price? |
All
our systems include what is illustrated in picture - we
do not have a low headline price then charge you extra for
such necessities as swings and slides. And don't forget
that our systems are modular so you don't have to choose
"off the page" - if you want something put together
to suit your space or requirements just ask. |
|
| |
What
about safety standards? |
Home
Front Jungle Gym
equipment is professionally designed with safety as
a priority and all play activities are kept separate
- we don't put monkey bars over swings where children
can fall onto each other, for example.
Our equipment complies fully with EN71 which
regulates strength, stability and safety, and we can provide
systems to comply with EN1176- the standard
for commercial and public playgrounds.

So many suppliers claim they offer quality outdoor play equipment, but we bet that if you compare our specifications with theirs you'll see what makes ours "the finest outdoor play equipment" |
