Fairfield Animal Centre is an award-winning family destination and charitable animal park, home to a variety of animals including goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys, alpacas, and more.
The centre also hosts a range of seasonal events and plays a vital role in the community through its connection with the Fairfield Farm Trust, which provides young adults with learning difficulties opportunities to gain new skills and prepare for employment.
When working with Fairfield Animal Centre it became clear they were looking for a playground that would enhance the visitor experience while staying true to the park’s natural and welcoming environment.
We designed and installed a large timber multiplay unit, created to match the park’s natural aesthetic. The structure features natural wood and is installed with wood chip surfacing, continuing the earthy feel of Fairfield. With multiple towers, bridges, crawl tubes, slides (including a spiral slide), cargo nets, and a climbing wall, the playground has something for everyone.
Since installation, the playground has helped to enhance the animal centre, encouraging active play and making visits even more memorable for families. This is also a great example of how our wood naturally starts to silver over time, blending in further with the environment.
