Multiplay Play Equipment - Accessories |
 |
Here you can choose the accessories to fit
to your Multiplay Clubhouse systems; they are split into
categories:
|
 |
|
Access
- Careful planning of the structure is important to ensure
there are no “pinch points” where pushing
and jostling can lead to an accident. Normally each clubhouse
should have at least one and preferably two entry and
exit points. Remember that some access
components work as "up" and "down", such as a ladder, whereas
slides are definitely "down" only. |
|
 |
Gangplank - our gangplank with timber handrails
(option of steel rope) has 600mm wide planks with non slip
inserts is an ideal way up for younger children |
Rock wall
- with 10 "rock
holds" this provides a challenging yet secure access
to the clubhouse deck |
|
|
|
Cargo net - steel cored rope with durable joints,
secured to clubhouse deck and concreted into the ground for
maximum security. Angled cargo net (L) standard or vertical
(R) for smaller space usage. Requires 1.4m x 1.4m space (angled)
or 1.4m x 0.3m (vertical) |
 |
|
|
|
|
Ladder
(Lx2) - wide, round rungs for easy grip and solid 90mm
square structure. Set at a gentle angle to make climbing
possible for even smaller children. Alternatively (Centre)
steps with timber handrail, or (R) rope ladder with timber
rungs on steel cored rope |
 |
|
|
Slides
- one of the favourite activities for children on multiplay
systems. We have 2 versions; the GRP slide (L) has been
used in hundreds of schools throughout the country and
offers excellent value for money. Alternatively the PE
slide (R) is the preferred choice where there is more unrestricted
play, eg village playgrounds etc |
 |
|
If there
is space and budget available having two or more clubhouses
in your multiplay system adds another dimension to the
playground. Apart from the ability to cope with more children,
there is much more scope for imagination play too: the
structure can become a fort, a castle, a ship or a jungle
hideout - almost anything. |
 |
|
|
Left
- our standard bridge; based on a rigid structure with
timber handrail and steel rope infills this has the advantage
of also being able to follow a slope up or down hill as
shown here. Right - an alternative wobble bridge to connect
two clubhouses. Choose from rigid timber or flexible rope
hand rails. |
|
|
Left
- for a more challenging crossing try our monkey bar connector,
complete with an access ladder at each end to help the
less confident. Right - a crawl tube between two clubhouses;
this one is in GRP. |
 |
|
Roofs help
keep the weather off the clubhouse decks (and so they are
less prone to getting slippery) as well as making the structure
feel more secure to play in. |
|
|
Wood roof - our most popular choice
with a natural appearance in keeping with the rest of the
equipment |
PE roofs - available in a choice of colours
so ideal if you prefer the brighter, more colourful option |
 |
|
Having created the basics of your multiplay
system you can spice it up with accessories, large and small.
Some of these add extra climbing & activity features - others
are just fun, or maybe popular with those who prefer a quieter
play time |
|
|
Above - bottom clubhouse. With its planked
out floor and three walls this becomes a "secret" play area
below a clubhouse deck |
Monkey bar - ideal for older children who have
the strength in their arms to make the crossing from the
clubhouse deck to the vertical ladder connection at the other
end. |
 |
 |
Our bubble
panel (L) or tic tac toe panel (R) substitutes for a standard
wall unit on any of our multiplay systems. Alternatively
fix the tic tac toe at ground level to introduce an element
of interactive play to those who don't want to climb but
like being involved |
 |
 |
You can also add a firepole, steering wheel,
telescope etc to the structure or any combination of the
above. Adding extra features such as these will add to the
footprint of the equipment and so the safer surfacing requirements. |
